Family policies
Photos of your child
We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.
Watching class and belt promotions
Parents and guests are welcome on the viewing bench. During a belt promotion, please stay quiet and keep phones down. Wait outside the mat area until class ends.
What to wear and bring
For a first class, wear a plain t-shirt or rash guard and shorts without pockets or zippers. We can lend a gi. Tie hair back, remove jewelry, keep nails short, and come with clean feet; no shoes on the mat.
When to keep your child home
If you or your child has a fever, a stomach bug or a skin condition that spreads, stay home until it has cleared. Please don't send health details through the website; tell the coach in person.
Drop-off and pickup
Children in kids' and teen classes leave with a parent or an adult you have named at the front desk. We ask to see ID for anyone new, and children wait inside until their adult arrives.
Closures for weather and holidays
We close on holidays and for storms that make roads unsafe to travel. We let members know by text and by email, and post it on the schedule page.
Leaving the program
To end a plan, write to us with 30 days' notice. The month in progress is billed, and we can pause instead. The membership page has the full terms.
Screens and phones
Phones stay on silent and in bags during class. Filming a class is only for the coach to allow, and never of other people's children.
